Lauren Gail Jones

Lauren completed her PGCE specialising in the new Welsh curriculum and expanded her experience by teaching students up to GCSE level at Creative in Learning, Pathways Learning’s sister company. She has also completed the Autism Aware Scheme, which enhanced her understanding of autism and the importance of tailored support—knowledge she applied while working with students with autism and ASD in her teaching career.

An approachable and nurturing teacher, Lauren prioritises student well-being and motivation. She creates a calm and inclusive classroom environment rooted in positive behaviour management and supportive practices that promote resilience and emotional well-being. She delivers tailored support, incorporating outdoor learning, to assist students particularly those with autism, in overcoming challenges and fulfilling their potential.

Committed to developing independent, confident learners, Lauren fosters a Growth Mindset through metacognitive strategies and Assessment for Learning techniques such as peer assessment, questioning, and collaborative learning. Leading with empathy and integrity, she aims to inspire pupils to become kind, responsible citizens.

Lauren is eager to bring her skills to Pathways Learning, nurturing happy, confident, and respectful individuals in line with the school’s values of compassion and community.
